Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Toyota Yaris?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently without expecting every listing to be a standout deal.

• Deal availability: 32.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 67 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.74% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $16,212 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Toyota Yaris's resale value?

The current average of $16,723 CAD sits slightly below last year's $17,556 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy in at a more favourable point, but it also means a future sale may need to be priced competitively to attract attention. If the market stays steady, the current discount versus last year could support better value retention for buyers who purchase near the lower end of the range. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Toyota Yaris or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 32.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.74% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2018 is a sensible choice if you want a used Yaris with solid owner satisfaction and a market that has eased a bit from last year. If your priority is stretching your budget further, you may also want to compare nearby years and focus on the best-priced examples rather than the newest one available.
