Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Toyota Yaris?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can afford to be patient and compare listings.

• Deal availability: 29.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 58 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.09% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $16,190 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Toyota Yaris's resale value?

The current average of $17,144 CAD sits slightly below last year's $17,509 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests buyers have a bit more leverage today, which can matter if you plan to sell later and want to understand where the market is headed. If prices continue to ease, resale values may stay under some pressure in the near term. Even so, a model year with strong owner satisfaction can still attract steady interest from used-car shoppers.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Toyota Yaris or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 29.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.09% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line:

If your priority is stretching your budget further, you may also want to compare nearby years and focus on whichever one gives you the best combination of price, condition, and listing quality.
