Is the 2018 Toyota Sienna a good car?

Generally — the 2018 Toyota Sienna earns a 4.4/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its spaciousness, reliability, and family-friendly practicality, and many also like its all-wheel drive capability and stylish design. For you, that makes it a sensible choice if you want a minivan built around passenger space, versatility, and everyday usefulness. With 35.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2018 Toyota Sienna reliable?

Owners rate it 4.4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback highlights reliability, and owners also describe it as dependable and easy to live with over the long term. That said, you should still inspect the power sliding doors carefully and pay close attention to transmission behaviour on a used example. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is avoiding a vehicle with unresolved mechanical issues that could offset the Sienna’s otherwise strong reputation.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Toyota Sienna?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 35.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 115 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.35% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $27,336 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Toyota Sienna's resale value?

The current average of $27,336 CAD sits slightly below last year's $32,294 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the Sienna more attractive to buyers today but may also limit upside for a future seller. If you buy at the current average, your resale position will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle has been maintained. Because the model has broad family appeal, a clean example should still draw interest when it comes time to sell.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Toyota Sienna or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 35.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.35% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2018 Toyota Sienna makes the most sense if you want a practical, family-focused minivan with strong owner approval and a market that still offers some deal opportunities. If you are price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on the best-maintained example rather than the newest badge alone.
