This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Inventory: There are 102 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.98% compared with last year.

What is the 2018 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid's resale value?

The current average of $23,065 CAD sits slightly below last year's $26,205 CAD.

That softer pricing can work in your favour if you're buying now, but it also means future sellers may face more competition if the market stays well supplied. Because the model has a solid reputation and broad appeal, it should still attract interest from shoppers who want a practical hybrid SUV with standard all-wheel drive. If you maintain it well and keep mileage reasonable, you should be in a better position when it comes time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 39.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.98% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2018 if you want a well-liked hybrid SUV with strong owner satisfaction, good market availability, and a softer price than it had a year ago. If you are especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby model years to see whether a lower-priced example offers similar equipment and condition, but the 2018 remains a sensible primary target for shoppers who value efficiency and broad everyday appeal.
