Is the 2018 Toyota Camry a good car?

Yes — the 4.58/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its attractive design, reliable performance, comfortable ride, and good gas mileage, while the overview also highlights its practical, easy-to-live-with character and broad appeal for buyers who want comfort and dependability. That combination makes it a sensible choice if you want a midsize sedan that feels more polished and modern without giving up everyday usability. With 21.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have some room to shop carefully.

Is the 2018 Toyota Camry reliable?

Owners rate it 4.58/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to reliable performance, and the overview reinforces that reputation by describing the Camry as a car that keeps its sensible roots while delivering a polished, modern feel. Reviewers also mention comfort and safety features as part of the ownership experience, which supports the idea that this is a car you can count on for daily use. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about major drama and more about finding a well-kept example with the right maintenance history.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Toyota Camry?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 21.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 128 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.27% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $20,535 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Toyota Camry's resale value?

The current average of $20,917 CAD sits slightly below last year's $23,310 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the car easier to buy now but may also limit upside for a future seller. If you plan to resell later, the current softness means your best protection is buying well and choosing a clean, well-maintained example. Strong owner satisfaction can help support demand when it is time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.58/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Toyota Camry or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 21.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.27% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.58/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2018 is a strong pick if you want the newer, more polished direction of this generation and you value a well-liked, comfortable midsize sedan with decent deal availability. If your priority is stretching your budget further, a nearby older year may offer a lower entry price, but the 2018 gives you a good balance of modern feel, owner satisfaction, and current market softness.
