Nice Car! I really liked the car but I found out in research that all model years have transmission issues.

Exceptional value! I love all the safety features and the very smooth ride. The MPG is great. Its a crossover but it is very spacious and has tons of storage space! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a crossover. The only thing I wish it had is Apple CarPlay, but I believe that only started to come standard in 2019.

Is the 2018 Toyota C-HR reliable?
Owners rate it 4.67/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Toyota C-HR?
This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on the right listing.

What is the 2018 Toyota C-HR's resale value?
The current average of $18,444 CAD sits slightly below last year's $19,741 CAD.
That price movement suggests the model has become a bit more accessible for buyers, which can also mean future sellers may need to price carefully to stay competitive. If you buy at the lower end of the current range, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation pressure later. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.67/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Should I buy a 2018 Toyota C-HR or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2018 if:
- 25.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 6.57% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4.67/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
The bottom line: If you want a used Toyota C-HR with solid owner satisfaction and a softer price trend, the 2018 is a sensible place to start. If you are especially price-sensitive, focus on listings near the lower end of the range and compare them carefully against other model years before you decide.
