Is the 2018 RAM ProMaster a good car?

Generally — the 4.3/5 user rating points to solid owner satisfaction for this model year. That kind of feedback suggests you should expect a vehicle that meets the needs of many used-van shoppers, especially if you prioritise practicality over luxury. With 30.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to find value if you shop carefully.

For used buyers, that kind of owner feedback suggests manageable long-term ownership risk, provided the specific van you choose has been maintained properly.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 RAM ProMaster?

This is a moderate, selective buyer's market, so you can be patient and still find a fair deal if you compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 30.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 63 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.58% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $21,323 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 RAM ProMaster's resale value?

The current average of $21,996 CAD sits slightly below last year's $26,369 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can make the van more attractive to buyers today but may also limit upside for a future seller if prices stay soft. If you buy at the lower end of the range, you may have a better chance of protecting your value later. Strong demand from practical, value-focused shoppers can still help support resale.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.3/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 RAM ProMaster or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 30.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.58% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.3/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a used ProMaster with a softer price environment and a decent pool of value-priced listings, the 2018 is a sensible place to start. If you're especially price-sensitive, keep an eye on listings near the low end of the range and compare them against nearby model years before you commit.
