How much does the 2018 Nissan Sentra cost?

Is the 2018 Nissan Sentra a good car?

Yes — 4.8/5 is a strong user rating for this model year. The 2018 Sentra is positioned as a practical compact sedan with a roomy interior, a more fuel-efficient powertrain than before, and a light overall feel for its class. It is best suited to you if you want an easy-to-live-with commuter rather than something sporty, and its value-oriented character makes it a sensible choice for everyday use. There are 32.3% of listings priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2018 Nissan Sentra reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2018 Sentra’s appeal is tied to its straightforward, efficient commuter formula, but the CVT-heavy lineup is part of why this generation is often viewed less favourably for reliability than later Sentras. For used buyers, that means you should pay close attention to maintenance history and transmission behaviour before committing to a purchase.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Nissan Sentra?

This looks like a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 32.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 161 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.53% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $10,632 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Nissan Sentra's resale value?

The current average of $10,694 CAD sits slightly below last year's $12,660 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Sentra has become more accessible for used buyers, but it also means future sellers may face a softer market if pricing drifts further. If you buy at the right number and keep the car in good condition, you may be better positioned when it comes time to resell. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Nissan Sentra or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 32.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.53% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a practical, value-focused compact sedan and you find a well-priced 2018, it makes sense as the primary path. If you are especially price-sensitive, you should also compare nearby years to see whether a lower asking price or a better-maintained example gives you more confidence for the money.
