I loved this car. The car has a sleek luxury design with a sport dynamic edge. I had no issues with the tech. and loved the double screen. The car drives smooth and provides different driving options ( dynamitic/eco/comfort/sand gravel).

I spent weeks searching out the perfect SUV. The Velar has it all. Sleek design, a thing of beauty, (It was voted most beautiful SUV in the world in 2018), and this thing is a spaceship inside. im afraid to touch random buttons for fear it will blast off. Feelin good in my Range Rover!!!

Id say it is the right measure in terms of size, design and an idea that is missing between evoque and the Range Rover Sport. It does that duty well.

Owners commonly praise its stunning design, luxury features, smooth driving experience, beautiful interior, and versatile driving modes. The market also shows 34.6% of listings as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.
Is the 2018 Land Rover Range Rover Velar reliable?
Owners’ feedback points to mixed reliability impressions, with some describing concerns about reliability while others focus on the vehicle’s appealing driving experience and luxury feel. The comments also suggest that long-term durability may be a consideration for used buyers, especially if you want a vehicle you can count on over time. For a used purchase, that means you should be especially careful about service history and overall condition.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Land Rover Range Rover Velar?
This is a moderate buyer’s market, so you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.
- Deal availability: 34.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 52 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 18.69% compared with last year.

What is the 2018 Land Rover Range Rover Velar's resale value?
The current average of $26,820 CAD sits slightly below last year's $32,984 CAD.
That drop suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the vehicle more attractive to you as a buyer today. For a future seller, it also means resale value may remain sensitive to condition, mileage, and maintenance history. If you buy well now, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation pressure later.
Should I buy a 2018 Land Rover Range Rover Velar or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2018 if:
- 34.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 18.69% compared with last year.
The bottom line: If you want the strongest value play, the 2018 is worth a close look because pricing has come down and there are still enough listings to compare. If you are especially price-sensitive, keep an eye on the lower end of the range and be ready to move quickly when a well-kept example appears.
