Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Kia Sportage?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 27.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 251 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.34% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $13,737 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Kia Sportage's resale value?

The current average of $13,737 CAD sits slightly below last year's $16,420 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Sportage has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can be helpful if you buy now and plan to sell later. If the market stays steady, a lower entry price can reduce the amount of value you lose over your ownership period. The current pricing also suggests there is still active buyer interest, which can help support future resale performance.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Kia Sportage or consider a different year?
