What is the 2018 Hyundai Kona's resale value?

The current average of $15,315 CAD sits slightly below last year's $18,016 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Kona has become more accessible for buyers, but it also means a future seller may need to price competitively to stand out. If you buy well now, the softer market can work in your favour on the way in, even if it means resale gains may be more modest in the near term. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Hyundai Kona or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 29.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.99% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2018 Kona makes sense if you want a well-equipped small SUV with a strong value story and you can find one priced near the lower end of the market.
