The current average of $15,558 CAD sits slightly below last year's $16,903 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the market has become more buyer-friendly, which can limit how aggressively you should expect resale values to climb in the near term. If you buy at the right price and keep the van in good condition, you may be better positioned to protect value later. The model’s practical reputation and strong owner satisfaction help support demand, even as age and mileage continue to matter.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Dodge Grand Caravan or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 32.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.96% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the best mix of value, owner satisfaction, and current market softness, the 2018 is a sensible primary choice. If you are especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years to see whether a lower asking price outweighs the 2018’s stronger market position and buyer appeal.
