This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay patient and compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 27.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 177 listings available.

What is the 2018 Buick Encore's resale value?

The current average of $13,758 CAD sits slightly below last year's $16,338 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Encore has become more affordable for buyers, which can also mean future sellers may need to price competitively to stand out. If you buy at the current average, you may have less immediate downside than someone who bought when prices were higher. The year-round low and high also show a fairly tight pricing band, which can help resale planning if you keep the vehicle in good condition.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Buick Encore or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 27.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.79% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2018 Buick Encore makes sense if you want a used small SUV with strong owner satisfaction and a market that currently favours careful shoppers. If your priority is getting the best possible value, the 2018 is a sensible primary choice; if you are especially price-sensitive, compare nearby years and focus on the best-priced listings rather than the model year alone.
