How much does the 2018 BMW 3 Series cost?

Prices have softened 15.40% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 177 listings available, which gives you a reasonable amount of choice if you're comparing condition, mileage, and equipment.

Is the 2018 BMW 3 Series a good car?

Yes — the 4.53/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the performance and ride quality, along with the powerful acceleration and smooth handling that make the car enjoyable to drive. The 2018 3 Series also fits well if you want a compact luxury sedan with a broad mix of engines, body styles, and available equipment, plus rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive depending on the version you choose. With 31.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2018 BMW 3 Series reliable?

Owners rate it 4.53/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a car that feels dependable in daily use, with many drivers describing the driving experience as smooth and trouble-free. That said, some owners mention concerns about the interior feeling cramped, along with comments about the absence of a spare tire and tire sensor issues. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a premium car with this level of complexity can become expensive if you need to address neglected maintenance or wear items.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 BMW 3 Series?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 31.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 177 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.40% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $19,602 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 BMW 3 Series' resale value?

The current average of $19,621 CAD sits slightly below last year's $23,194 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the car easier to buy now but may also limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you purchase at a strong price and keep the car in good condition, you may be better positioned than someone who buys near the top of the range. The model's appeal to shoppers who want a premium, performance-focused compact sedan should help support demand, but future resale will still depend heavily on maintenance history and overall condition.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.53/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 BMW 3 Series or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 31.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.40% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.53/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2018 is a smart choice if you want a later sixth-generation 3 Series with strong owner approval, softer pricing, and enough inventory to compare examples carefully. If your priority is the lowest possible purchase price, a nearby older year may be worth a look, but the 2018 is the better all-around pick if you want a more refined shopping pool and a strong balance of value and appeal.
