How much does the 2018 BMW 3 Series cost?

There are 155 listings available, which gives you a reasonable amount of choice in the used market.

Is the 2018 BMW 3 Series a good car?

Yes — the 4.5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the impressive performance, powerful acceleration, and smooth handling, and they also value the ride quality that makes the car enjoyable in everyday use. For you, that means this model fits especially well if you want a compact luxury car that still puts driving enjoyment first and remains practical enough for daily use. With 30.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still a meaningful share of attractive inventory to consider.

Is the 2018 BMW 3 Series reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a dependable ownership experience, with comments that support the idea of a trouble-free car when it is maintained properly. That said, some drivers mentioned the absence of a spare tire and concerns about the tire sensor, so you should pay close attention to maintenance history and inspect wear items carefully before you buy. For used shoppers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about outright reliability and more about making sure the car has been cared for consistently.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 BMW 3 Series?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some confidence if you are patient and compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 30.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 155 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.89% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $18,730 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 BMW 3 Series' resale value?

The current average of $19,455 CAD sits slightly below last year's $22,081 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer today but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy at the right price, you reduce the risk of taking a bigger depreciation hit later. The current range also shows that well-priced examples are still available, which can help support future resale if you choose a clean, well-kept car.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 BMW 3 Series or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 30.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.89% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a used 3 Series that balances driving enjoyment, premium feel, and a more favourable price trend, the 2018 is the primary year to target. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on the best-maintained example rather than the newest badge.
