The owner feedback also points to a car that feels dependable and easy to live with over time, especially if you value a smooth, trouble-free driving experience. Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Audi A4?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer's market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 25.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 156 listings available.

What is the 2018 Audi A4's resale value?

The current average of $18,174 CAD sits slightly below last year's $21,601 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has become more favourable for buyers, but it also means a future seller may need to price competitively to stand out. If you buy at today's average, you may have less room for appreciation in the near term, so condition and mileage will matter a lot when it comes time to resell. Strong owner satisfaction can help support demand when you eventually list it again.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Audi A4 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 25.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.86% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of value, owner satisfaction, and current market softness, the 2018 is the one to focus on first. If you're especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years to see whether a lower asking price outweighs the 2018's strong satisfaction and deal availability.
