Is the 2017 Toyota Sienna a good car?

Yes — the 2017 Toyota Sienna earns a 4.9/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its spacious interior, comfort, and reliability, and many also value the versatile seating layout and family-friendly convenience features. For you, that makes it a strong fit if you need a practical minivan for passengers, luggage, and everyday errands. Is the 2017 Toyota Sienna reliable?

Owners rate it 4.9/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback highlights reliability, and drivers also describe it as dependable and trouble-free in everyday family use. That kind of reputation matters if you want a minivan you can count on for commuting, school runs, and road trips. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that age and mileage can expose wear items and repair-prone components, so condition matters a lot.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Toyota Sienna?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be choosy if you shop carefully.

• Deal availability: 38.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 106 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.57% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $22,888 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Toyota Sienna's resale value?

The current average of $22,891 CAD sits slightly below last year's $28,110 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy at the right price, you reduce the risk of taking a bigger depreciation hit later. The current range also suggests that well-kept examples still command meaningful value, especially when they are priced near the lower end of the market.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Toyota Sienna or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 38.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.57% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2017 if you want a well-liked, family-friendly minivan and you can find one in good condition at a competitive price. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby year may be worth comparing, but the 2017 stands out when you want a strong mix of value, owner approval, and market availability.
