Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Toyota Sienna?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can afford to compare a few listings before committing.

• Deal availability: 36.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 84 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.37% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $24,089 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Toyota Sienna's resale value?

The current average of $24,429 CAD sits slightly below last year's $29,565 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favourable point if you plan to own the vehicle for several years. For a future seller, it also means there may be less room for appreciation, so condition and maintenance history will matter more when it comes time to resell. A well-kept example should still appeal to family buyers who value space and practicality.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.88/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Toyota Sienna or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 36.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.37% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.88/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a roomy, comfort-focused minivan and you find a well-maintained 2017 at a competitive price, it is a strong primary choice. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby year may offer a lower entry point, but the 2017 remains attractive when you want a balance of value, owner satisfaction, and family-friendly practicality.
