This looks like a moderate buyer’s market, so you can be selective without expecting deep discounts on every listing.

• Deal availability: 27.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 11 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 19.64% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $25,327 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Toyota Highlander Hybrid's resale value?

The current average of $25,327 CAD sits slightly below last year's $31,518 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy with less risk of overpaying. For a future seller, it also means resale expectations should be more conservative than they were a year ago. If you buy well now, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation pressure later.

Should I buy a 2017 Toyota Highlander Hybrid or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 27.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 19.64% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2017 is a sensible choice if you want a used Highlander Hybrid with a lower average price and some deal opportunities in the market. If your priority is stretching your budget further, a nearby year with more inventory may give you more negotiating room, but the 2017 remains the better fit when you want a balanced mix of price and hybrid efficiency.
