How much does the 2017 Land Rover Range Rover Sport cost?

Prices have softened 18.84% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

Is the 2017 Land Rover Range Rover Sport a good car?

Yes — the 4.8/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its luxurious features, smooth drive, attractive interior, performance, and off-road capability. For you, that makes it a compelling choice if you want a premium SUV with real capability and a more distinctive personality than many rivals. With 28.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2017 Land Rover Range Rover Sport reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a vehicle that can feel dependable in daily use, with praise for its smooth drive and strong all-around appeal. At the same time, the same reviews raise concerns about reliability, so you should treat this as a used SUV where condition and maintenance history matter a lot. For long-term ownership, that means your risk is more about finding a well-kept example than assuming every listing will age the same way.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Land Rover Range Rover Sport?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 28.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 142 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.84% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $27,208 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Land Rover Range Rover Sport's resale value?

The current average of $27,245 CAD sits slightly below last year's $33,569 CAD.

That drop suggests the market has become more favourable for buyers, but it also means future sellers may need to price competitively to stand out. If you buy now, the softer pricing could help you limit upfront depreciation compared with a stronger market. The model’s premium image and broad appeal should still support demand, especially for well-kept examples with desirable equipment.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Land Rover Range Rover Sport or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 28.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.84% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: You should focus on the 2017 if you want the updated infotainment and safety package, plus a used price that has come down meaningfully. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby year may be worth comparing, but the 2017 is the better fit when you want the newer-feeling version without moving up to a much pricier model year.
