So if you go with the forte and it says Apple car play or Android auto. Bring a cable and actually make sure! Ours said it and it didnt have it. We couldnt do a map upgrade and get it, cause our 2017 does not have navigation. If it did, the update wouldve worked.

| Metric | Value |
|---|---|
| Current Average Price | $10,937 CAD |
| Year-Round Low | $10,277 CAD |
| Year-Round High | $11,884 CAD |
| Average Price a Year Ago | $11,882 CAD |
| Change vs. Last Year | −7.95% |

There are 148 listings available, which gives you a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.
Is the 2017 Kia Forte a good car?
The 2017 Kia Forte can be a sensible used-car choice if you want a value-focused compact sedan and you’re comfortable shopping carefully. The user rating is 3.3/5, which suggests a mixed but workable ownership experience.
With 25% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to find a competitive price if you compare carefully.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Kia Forte?
This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient and price-aware.
- Deal availability: 25% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 148 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 7.95% compared with last year.
If you find a listing below $10,277 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2017 Kia Forte's resale value?
The current average of $10,937 CAD sits slightly below last year's $11,882 CAD.
That softer pricing suggests the market has moved in buyers’ favour, which can make the Forte easier to shop now than it was a year ago. If you buy at the right price and keep the car in good condition, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation pressure later. For a future seller, the current trend points to a market that still rewards well-priced examples more than average ones.
Should I buy a 2017 Kia Forte or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2017 if:
- 25% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 7.95% compared with last year.
The bottom line:
The 2017 is a reasonable primary target if you want a used Forte with a softer price trend and enough listings to compare. If you’re more price-sensitive, you may also want to look at nearby years and focus on whichever one gives you the best combination of condition, mileage, and asking price.
