The current average of $14,446 CAD sits slightly below last year's $17,339 CAD.

That softer pricing can be a plus if you're buying now, but it also means a future seller may need to be realistic about where the market is headed. If prices stay near this level, resale value should remain more stable than strong, especially for well-kept examples with desirable equipment. The current inventory and deal mix suggest buyers are still comparing options carefully, which can keep upward pressure on resale gains in check.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 INFINITI QX60 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 24.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.69% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest balance of value, owner satisfaction, and current market softness, the 2017 is the sensible pick. If your priority is stretching your budget as far as possible, a nearby year with a lower average price may be worth a closer look, but you may give up some of the current deal availability that makes this year appealing.
