This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be patient and still find a decent example.

What is the 2017 INFINITI QX50's resale value?

The current average of $14,783 CAD sits slightly below last year's $16,926 CAD.

That softer pricing can work in your favour if you buy now, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited unless the market tightens. If you plan to sell later, the current trend suggests you should expect value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle has been maintained. A well-kept example should still appeal to shoppers who want a comfortable luxury crossover at a lower entry price.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 INFINITI QX50 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 18.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.66% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2017 is a sensible choice if you want a comfortable, well-liked luxury crossover and you can find one priced near the lower end of the market. If you’re especially price-sensitive, keep shopping and compare nearby years for the best combination of condition and asking price.
