Should I buy a 2017 Honda HR-V or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 35.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.59% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2017 HR-V makes sense if you want a practical, value-focused used crossover with strong owner approval and a market that still offers some deal opportunities. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby model years and focus on the best-maintained example rather than chasing the lowest sticker price alone.
