Is the 2017 Honda Civic Coupe reliable?

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Honda Civic Coupe?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

What is the 2017 Honda Civic Coupe's resale value?

The current average of $16,193 CAD sits slightly below last year's $19,339 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy at a more attractive entry point today, but it also means a future sale may need to be priced competitively if the market stays soft. If you plan to keep the car for a while, the current discount can work in your favour. If you expect to resell sooner, buying well below the average matters more.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Honda Civic Coupe or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 21.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.26% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2017 is a sensible primary choice if you want a used Civic Coupe with strong owner satisfaction and a softer price environment. If you're especially price-sensitive, keep an eye on listings near the low end of the range and compare them carefully against nearby model years before you commit.
