What is the 2017 Ford Mustang's resale value?

The current average of $24,151 CAD sits slightly below last year's $25,093 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the market has become a bit more buyer-friendly, which can make it harder for a future seller to command top dollar right away. If you buy well now, you may have less downside risk than someone who purchased when prices were higher. Strong demand for sporty, stylish cars can still help support values, especially for well-kept examples.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Ford Mustang or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 31.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.76% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $25,577 CAD, the 2018 costs more than the current year's $24,151 CAD average.
• It brings a more polished feel with substantial mechanical and technological improvements.

The bottom line: The 2017 is the better starting point if you want a lower average price and decent deal availability. If you can stretch your budget and want a more refined version, the 2018 is the stronger upgrade; price-sensitive buyers should focus on the 2017.
