The current average of $13,987 CAD sits slightly below last year's $17,103 CAD.

That drop suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the vehicle easier to buy now but may also limit upside if you plan to resell soon. Should I buy a 2017 Ford Edge or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 27.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.22% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a well-liked used SUV with strong owner feedback and a softer price trend, the 2017 is the primary year to target.
