Is the 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan a good car?

Generally — the 4.4/5 user rating points to a strong ownership experience for a value-focused minivan. Owners consistently praise the spacious Stow ’n Go seating, the practical family-friendly layout, and the reasonable pricing compared with competitors. That lines up well with the Grand Caravan’s role as a roomy, easy-to-live-with people mover that prioritises usefulness over flash. With 28.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, you also have a decent chance of finding attractive pricing in the market.

Is the 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan reliable?

Owners rate it 4.4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback points to a vehicle that many owners find dependable in day-to-day use, especially when you value practicality and straightforward family transport. The same feedback also suggests that some buyers are thinking about durability over the long term, so it is worth paying close attention to maintenance history and overall condition. For used buyers, the main ownership risk is that age and wear may matter more than the badge itself, so a careful inspection is important.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be choosy if you shop carefully.

• Deal availability: 28.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 578 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.52% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $12,822 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan's resale value?

The current average of $12,822 CAD sits slightly below last year's $14,826 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the Grand Caravan easier to buy now but may also limit upside for a future seller. If you own one, strong condition and clear maintenance records matter more when the broader market is softening. A well-kept example should still appeal to shoppers who want a practical minivan at a lower entry price.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 28.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.52% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the best mix of value, space, and family-friendly practicality, the 2017 is a sensible target year. If your priority is stretching your budget as far as possible, a nearby older year may be worth comparing, but the 2017’s softer pricing and solid owner feedback make it the stronger all-around pick for many shoppers.
