How much does the 2017 Chevrolet Colorado cost?

Is the 2017 Chevrolet Colorado a good car?

Yes — the 4.73/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners commonly praise its reliability, performance, and value, and many also like its smooth ride and versatility as a work truck. For you, that means the Colorado makes the most sense if you want a midsize pickup that can handle daily driving and job-site duties without feeling oversized. With 36.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still a healthy amount of market opportunity if you shop carefully.

Is the 2017 Chevrolet Colorado reliable?

Owners rate it 4.73/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to reliability as one of the Colorado’s strengths, alongside its dependable performance and overall value. That said, some drivers mention diesel maintenance costs, so your long-term ownership experience may depend on how the truck was maintained and which powertrain you choose. For used buyers, that means the safest path is to prioritise well-documented service history and inspect the truck carefully before you commit.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Chevrolet Colorado?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay patient and compare listings closely.

• Deal availability: 36.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 91 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 21.48% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $20,684 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Chevrolet Colorado's resale value?

The current average of $21,074 CAD sits slightly below last year's $26,838 CAD.

That drop suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer today but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy at the right price, you reduce the risk of taking a bigger depreciation hit later. The Colorado’s broad appeal as a practical midsize pickup should still support demand, especially for well-kept examples with desirable equipment.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.73/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Chevrolet Colorado or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 36.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 21.48% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.73/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2017 Colorado is a sensible choice if you want a midsize pickup with strong owner approval, a softer price than a year ago, and enough inventory to compare options. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may want to keep an eye on nearby model years as well, but the 2017 stands out as a balanced buy when you find a clean example at the right price.
