Is the 2017 Chevrolet Colorado a good car?

Yes — the 2017 Chevrolet Colorado earns a 4.7/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners commonly praise its reliability, performance, and value, and many also like its smooth ride, safety features, and versatility as a work truck. For you, that makes it a sensible fit if you want a midsize pickup that can handle daily driving while still offering real utility and capability. The user feedback highlights reliability and a trouble-free ownership experience as part of the appeal, and many owners describe it as dependable over time. Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Chevrolet Colorado?

This looks like a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 29.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 92 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 20.79% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $20,706 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Chevrolet Colorado's resale value?

The current average of $20,706 CAD sits slightly below last year's $26,141 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can make the truck easier to buy now but may also limit upside if you plan to sell soon. If you purchase at the right price and keep the truck in strong condition, you may be better positioned to protect value later. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Chevrolet Colorado or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 29.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 20.79% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2017 if you want a well-liked midsize pickup with a softer used-market price and enough inventory to compare options. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby year may still be worth cross-shopping, but the 2017 is the better starting point when you want a balance of value, owner approval, and selection.
