Features are great, especially for a compact suv. Drives great, nice bose audio system. What I best is the fact I cut my gas bill in half. Gas mileage is excellent.

How much does the 2017 Buick Encore cost?
| Metric | Value |
|---|---|
| Current Average Price | $11,631 CAD |
| Year-Round Low | $11,631 CAD |
| Year-Round High | $15,236 CAD |
| Average Price a Year Ago | $15,236 CAD |
| Change vs. Last Year | −23.66% |
Prices have softened 23.66% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.
There are 129 listings available, which gives you a reasonable amount of choice in the used market.
Is the 2017 Buick Encore a good car?
Yes — the 2017 Buick Encore earns a 4.77/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its excellent gas mileage, comfortable ride, and impressive tech features, and many also like its stylish look and manoeuvrability. The market still shows 24.8% of listings as good or great deals, which suggests you can still find attractive pricing if you shop carefully.
Is the 2017 Buick Encore reliable?
Owners rate it 4.77/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
The owner feedback also points to a vehicle that many drivers find dependable and easy to live with over time, especially for everyday use. Some owners do mention durability concerns as mileage increases, so a careful inspection and service-history review matter if you want to reduce long-term ownership risk.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Buick Encore?
This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to compare listings and wait for the right one.
- Deal availability: 24.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 129 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 23.66% compared with last year.
If you find a listing below $11,631 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2017 Buick Encore's resale value?
The current average of $11,631 CAD sits slightly below last year's $15,236 CAD.
That price movement suggests the Encore has become more affordable for buyers, which can make it harder for future sellers to command top dollar unless the vehicle is especially well kept. If you own one and maintain it carefully, you may be better positioned to hold value than the average listing. Strong condition and a clean history matter more when the market has already moved down.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.77/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Should I buy a 2017 Buick Encore or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2017 if:
- 24.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 23.66% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4.77/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
The bottom line: The 2017 is a sensible choice if you want a used Encore with strong owner satisfaction and a softer price than last year. If you are price-sensitive, this year looks especially worth considering when you can find a well-priced listing near the lower end of the range.
