Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Buick Encore?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Inventory: There are 127 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 23.64% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $11,655 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Buick Encore's resale value?

The current average of $11,655 CAD sits slightly below last year's $15,263 CAD.

That price movement suggests the model has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can be helpful if you’re buying now but less favourable if you’re planning to sell soon. If prices stay near today’s level, future resale value may be steadier than it was a year ago, but the recent decline means there is still some downside risk for owners who need to sell quickly. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.77/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Buick Encore or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 22.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 23.64% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.77/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of value and owner satisfaction, the 2017 is a sensible place to focus, especially given the softer pricing and decent deal availability. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years to see whether a lower asking price outweighs the 2017’s current market position.
