Is the 2017 Buick Encore a good car?

Yes — the 2017 Buick Encore earns a 4.77/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. The market currently shows 27.7% of listings as good or great deals, which suggests there are still worthwhile options if you shop carefully.

Is the 2017 Buick Encore reliable?

Owners rate it 4.77/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owners also describe it as a vehicle they enjoy living with over time, with feedback highlighting dependable day-to-day use, a comfortable driving experience, and a generally trouble-free ownership feel. Some owners do note durability concerns as mileage increases, so a used example with a solid service history is the safer long-term bet.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Buick Encore?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be choosy without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 27.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 130 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 23.57% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $11,659 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Buick Encore's resale value?

The current average of $11,671 CAD sits slightly below last year's $15,270 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Encore has become more accessible for used buyers, but it also means a future seller may face a softer market than before. If you buy near the current average, there may be less room for appreciation later, so condition and mileage will matter more when it comes time to resell. Listings that are priced well and backed by strong maintenance records should hold buyer interest better than average.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.77/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Buick Encore or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 27.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 23.57% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.77/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a used Encore with strong owner approval and a softer price than a year ago, the 2017 is the one to focus on. If your priority is stretching your budget as far as possible, you should still compare nearby model years and shop the listings carefully for the best combination of price, condition, and mileage.
