Should I buy a 2017 Porsche Macan or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 32.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.32% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2017 is a strong choice if you want the Macan’s sporty character, premium feel, and a market that currently offers some pricing relief. If your priority is stretching your budget further, a nearby year with a lower average price may be the better path, but the 2017 remains the more compelling pick if you value the balance of driving enjoyment and owner satisfaction.
