Is the 2017 Audi Q7 a good car?

Yes — the 2017 Audi Q7 earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its luxurious interior, performance, and advanced technology, and many also like its smooth ride and capability in different drive modes. For you, that makes it a strong fit if you want a refined three-row luxury SUV with space, comfort, and useful technology. With 30.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some attractive inventory to consider.

Is the 2017 Audi Q7 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that many drivers find dependable and trouble-free in day-to-day use, especially when it comes to comfort, performance, and overall ownership experience. That said, some owners mention concerns with fuel consumption and a few features, so you should still inspect any used example carefully. For long-term ownership, the main risk is less about broad reliability and more about finding one that has been maintained properly and not worn down by heavy use.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Audi Q7?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay patient.

• Deal availability: 30.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 135 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.54% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $18,912 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Audi Q7's resale value?

The current average of $18,912 CAD sits slightly below last year's $23,217 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favourable point in the cycle. If you plan to sell later, the softer current pricing means your future resale value will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle has been maintained. A well-kept example should still appeal to shoppers looking for a premium three-row SUV with strong owner satisfaction.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Audi Q7 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 30.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.54% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2017 is a smart choice if you want the redesigned Q7’s newer cabin, strong owner satisfaction, and better value than it had a year ago. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years to see whether a similar example offers a better deal, but the 2017 already looks appealing if you want a well-regarded luxury SUV with solid market support.
