This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on the best-priced examples.

• Inventory: There are 315 listings available.

What is the 2017 Audi Q5's resale value?

The current average of $14,731 CAD sits slightly below last year's $17,262 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has softened, which can make the Q5 more attractive to buyers now but may also limit upside for a future seller. If you buy at today’s average, your resale position will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and maintenance history. Well-kept examples should still hold appeal because the model’s premium image and practical layout remain desirable.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Audi Q5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 24.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.66% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $19,411 CAD, the 2018 costs more than the current year's $14,731 CAD average.
• It brings a full redesign with more room and newer technology.

The bottom line: Choose the 2017 if you want the better value and are comfortable with a more affordable luxury SUV that still scores well with owners. Consider the 2018 if you want the newer redesign and are willing to pay more for added room and technology; price-sensitive buyers should start with the 2017 and focus on well-maintained examples.
