Used 2016 Volkswagen Jetta for Sale nearRichmond, BC

How much does the 2016 Volkswagen Jetta cost?

Prices have softened 14.03% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 145 listings available, which suggests a reasonable amount of inventory for shoppers comparing options.

Is the 2016 Volkswagen Jetta a good car?

Yes — the 2016 Volkswagen Jetta earns a 4.67/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its solid feel, fun driving experience, and great fuel economy, and many also like its spacious interior and powerful engine. That lines up well with its practical compact-sedan mission: you get a roomy, value-focused sedan with a large trunk and everyday usability. With 23.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have some room to shop carefully.

Is the 2016 Volkswagen Jetta reliable?

Owners rate it 4.67/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a car that feels solid and dependable in daily use, with many drivers highlighting its trouble-free character and strong fuel economy. That said, the broader model-year context suggests you should still pay close attention to maintenance history and any signs of drivetrain issues before you commit.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that repair costs can rise quickly if you inherit an example with unresolved mechanical concerns.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Volkswagen Jetta?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile examples.

• Deal availability: 23.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 145 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.03% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $9,717 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Volkswagen Jetta's resale value?

The current average of $9,726 CAD sits slightly below last year's $11,313 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the car easier to buy now but may also limit upside for a future seller. If you plan to resell later, the current softness means your return will depend more on condition, mileage, and maintenance than on broad market momentum. Well-kept examples should still appeal to shoppers looking for a practical, spacious sedan with good value.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.67/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Volkswagen Jetta or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 23.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.03% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.67/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2016 is a sensible choice if you want a roomy, value-oriented compact sedan and you can find a clean example at a competitive price. If you’re more price-sensitive, it’s worth comparing nearby model years to see whether a better-equipped or better-priced Jetta gives you more value for your budget.
