Used 2016 Volkswagen Golf SportWagen for Sale near Ontario

How much does the 2016 Volkswagen Golf SportWagen cost?

Prices have softened 15.91% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 76 listings available, which gives you a reasonable amount of choice if you're comparing condition, mileage, and trim.

Is the 2016 Volkswagen Golf SportWagen a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating suggests owners are very satisfied with this model year. That kind of feedback can be a useful sign if you want a used wagon that has already earned strong approval from people living with it day to day. With 31.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, you also have a decent chance of finding a competitively priced example.

Is the 2016 Volkswagen Golf SportWagen reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

For used buyers, that kind of owner feedback can reduce some of the uncertainty around long-term ownership risk, especially if you verify maintenance history and overall condition before you buy.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Volkswagen Golf SportWagen?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer's market, so you can be patient and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 31.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 76 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.91% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $10,735 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Volkswagen Golf SportWagen's resale value?

The current average of $10,756 CAD sits slightly below last year's $12,791 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the car more appealing to you as a buyer but may limit upside for a future seller. If you plan to resell later, the current lower entry price can help, but you should still expect value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and service records. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Volkswagen Golf SportWagen or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 31.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.91% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of owner satisfaction and current market softness, the 2016 is the year to focus on first. If you're especially price-sensitive, compare it against nearby years to see whether a lower asking price outweighs the 2016's stronger market signals.
