Is the 2016 Toyota Yaris a good car?

That kind of feedback usually points to a car that meets expectations well for everyday use, especially if you want a straightforward used hatchback. Is the 2016 Toyota Yaris reliable?

For used buyers, that kind of owner feedback can reduce the odds of unpleasant surprises, though you should still budget for normal wear items and inspect any high-kilometre example closely.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Toyota Yaris?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on the best-priced examples.

• Deal availability: 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 39 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 7.08% year-over-year.

What is the 2016 Toyota Yaris's resale value?

The current average of $14,181 CAD sits slightly above last year's $13,243 CAD.

That upward movement suggests the market has been willing to pay more for this model year, which can support resale confidence if you buy at a sensible price. If prices stay firm, a well-kept example should remain relatively easy to position when it comes time to sell. Strong deal availability also helps you avoid overpaying now, which matters for future resale.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Toyota Yaris or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices are up 7.08% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2016 makes sense if you want a used Yaris with strong owner satisfaction and a market that still shows decent deal availability. If your priority is stretching your budget as far as possible, a nearby year with a lower average price may be worth a look, but the 2016 is the better pick if you value proven owner approval and are comfortable shopping selectively.

How does the 2016 Toyota Yaris compare to the 2016 Honda Fit?

The Yaris and Fit are priced very closely, but the Fit gives you more power and more listings to choose from. The Yaris counters with slightly better city fuel economy and a strong owner satisfaction signal, so your choice comes down to whether you value extra performance and selection or a simpler, satisfaction-backed buy.
