Is the 2016 Toyota Sienna a good car?

Yes — the 2016 Toyota Sienna earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. You get a minivan that drivers consistently praise for its comfort, spaciousness, and practical interior flexibility, along with the kind of feature content that makes daily family use easier. Is the 2016 Toyota Sienna reliable?

The user feedback also points to a dependable ownership experience, with drivers highlighting comfort, spaciousness, and the sense that the vehicle delivers solid value over time. The model-year overview reinforces that reputation by describing this version as one of the stronger choices in the generation for reliability. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that age-related repairs on a large family vehicle can become costly if maintenance history is weak.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Toyota Sienna?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer's market, so you can be patient and still find a solid example.

• Deal availability: 39.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 87 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.48% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $20,456 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Toyota Sienna's resale value?

The current average of $21,013 CAD sits slightly below last year's $25,466 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has become more buyer-friendly, which can make it harder for a future seller to command top dollar unless the vehicle is especially well kept. If you buy at the right price now, you may have less downside risk than someone who paid closer to last year's average. Strong condition, clear service records, and desirable equipment will matter more when it comes time to resell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Toyota Sienna or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 39.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.48% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2016 is a strong pick if you want a used Sienna with proven owner satisfaction, a favourable price trend, and enough inventory to compare examples. If you are especially price-sensitive, you can also look at nearby years for a lower entry point, but the 2016 stands out as a balanced choice for shoppers who want value without giving up the Sienna’s core strengths.
