Is the 2016 Toyota Sienna a good car?

Yes — the 2016 Toyota Sienna earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. You get a practical family minivan with three rows of seating, a huge cargo area when the rear seats are removed, and a low load floor that makes everyday use easier. Owners also consistently highlight its comfort, spaciousness, and feature content, while the overview frames it as a sensible choice for buyers who want passenger space, cargo flexibility, and family-friendly utility. With 40.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is also a healthy amount of value in the market.

Is the 2016 Toyota Sienna reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback and overview both point to a vehicle that owners trust for comfort, practicality, and dependable everyday use. The model’s reputation for reliability is reinforced by the way it is described as a sensible, durable family vehicle that can handle passengers and cargo with ease. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that age-related wear can still show up, so you should pay close attention to maintenance history and how the vehicle has been used.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Toyota Sienna?

This looks like a buyer-friendly market if you are shopping carefully.

• Deal availability: 40.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 94 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 19.52% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $20,394 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Toyota Sienna's resale value?

The current average of $20,394 CAD sits slightly below last year's $25,341 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the vehicle more attractive to buyers today but may limit upside for a future seller. If you buy at the current average, you are starting from a lower entry point than last year’s shoppers. That can help if you plan to keep the vehicle for a while, but it also means resale gains are less likely unless demand strengthens. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Toyota Sienna or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 40.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 19.52% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2016 is a strong choice if you want a well-liked, practical minivan with solid market value and a healthy share of attractive listings. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may also want to compare nearby years to see whether a lower-priced alternative gives you similar utility for less money.

How does the 2016 Toyota Sienna compare to the 2016 Honda Odyssey?

The Toyota gives you more power and a higher share of good or great deals, while the Honda is cheaper on the used market and has more listings to choose from. If you want the stronger value signal and a more powerful V6, the Sienna is compelling; if your priority is lower purchase price and broader inventory, the Odyssey may be the easier fit.
