Should I buy a 2016 Toyota RAV4 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 20.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2015 if:

• At $15,878 CAD, the 2015 costs less than the current year's $17,878 CAD average.
• It offers practical space, good fuel economy, and broad everyday usefulness.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2016 if you want the updated styling, added equipment, and a still-stable price point. If your priority is saving money upfront, the 2015 is the better value play, especially if you find one in good condition with a solid service history.
