Should I buy a 2016 Subaru Forester or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 25.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices are up 5.29% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.33/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2016 Forester makes sense if you want a practical, all-weather compact SUV with strong owner approval and a market that still supports demand. If you are price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on the best-maintained example rather than chasing the newest badge alone.
