There are 120 listings available, which suggests a decent amount of inventory for used shoppers.

Is the 2016 Porsche Macan a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. The 2016 Porsche Macan is aimed at you if you want a compact SUV that prioritises driving enjoyment over outright practicality, with Porsche describing it as smaller and nimbler than the Cayenne. It also brings a premium interior and a polished, performance-focused character, while the trade-off is below-average rear-seat space and less emphasis on utility than some rivals. 34.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2016 Porsche Macan reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2016 Macan is described as having a strong reliability record, and its standard equipment is substantial even on early cars. For used buyers, that combination can reduce day-to-day ownership worry, though you should still pay close attention to maintenance history and overall condition because premium performance SUVs can be costly if previous care was inconsistent.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Porsche Macan?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can afford to be patient and compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 34.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 120 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 20.09% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $20,868 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Porsche Macan's resale value?

The current average of $21,842 CAD sits slightly below last year's $27,333 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the Macan more attractive to buyers now but may also limit upside for a future seller if prices stay soft. If you buy at the right number and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you may be better positioned when it comes time to resell. Demand should remain supported by the model’s premium image and driving appeal.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Porsche Macan or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 34.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 20.09% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2016 Macan makes sense if you want a used compact luxury SUV with strong driving character, solid owner satisfaction, and a market that currently gives you some negotiating room. If your priority is stretching your budget further, a nearby year with lower average pricing may be worth a look, but the 2016 remains the better fit if you value the Macan’s premium feel and performance-first personality.
