How much does the 2016 Nissan Rogue cost?

Is the 2016 Nissan Rogue a good car?

Yes — the 2016 Nissan Rogue earns a 4.75/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners commonly praise its value, comfort, stylish design, spacious interior, cargo room, smooth ride, and good fuel efficiency. That lines up well with its role as a practical compact crossover for everyday family use, especially if you want something roomy and easy to live with rather than something built for off-road driving. With 25.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2016 Nissan Rogue reliable?

Owners rate it 4.75/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a vehicle that feels dependable in daily use, with repeated praise for comfort, value, and trouble-free ownership impressions. The same reviews highlight its smooth ride and good fuel efficiency, which supports the idea that it can be a sensible long-term choice if you find a well-kept example.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the vehicle has been maintained carefully, especially given the generation’s known transmission concerns.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Nissan Rogue?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 25.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 404 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.65% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $10,712 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Nissan Rogue's resale value?

The current average of $10,800 CAD sits slightly below last year's $12,957 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the Rogue easier to buy now but may also limit upside for a future seller. If you plan to own it for a while, the current pricing gives you a more favourable entry point than it did a year ago. If you sell later, the softer trend means resale value will depend more on condition, mileage, and maintenance history than on broad market momentum.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.75/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Nissan Rogue or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 25.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.65% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.75/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2016 Rogue makes the most sense if you want a practical, family-friendly compact crossover with strong owner approval and a market that currently favours careful shoppers. If your priority is stretching your budget, this year’s softer pricing makes it a sensible target; if you want to compare value across the lineup, nearby model years may be worth a look, but the 2016 remains a solid primary choice for buyers focused on comfort, space, and everyday usability.
