Is the 2016 Lexus NX a good car?

Generally — the 4.1/5 user rating suggests you’re looking at a well-liked used luxury crossover. Owners consistently praise its comfort, timeless styling, and reliability, while also noting good fuel economy. That makes it a strong fit if you want a compact luxury SUV that feels distinctive without giving up everyday usability. With 38.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop carefully.

Is the 2016 Lexus NX reliable?

Owners rate it 4.1/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that feels reliable, dependable, and easy to count on over time. That matters if you want a used luxury crossover that should be less stressful to own than many alternatives. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is making sure the specific vehicle has been maintained properly, since any neglected premium SUV can become more expensive to keep in shape.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Lexus NX?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient and compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 38.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 80 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.51% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $21,220 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Lexus NX's resale value?

The current average of $21,828 CAD sits slightly below last year's $23,347 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can help you buy more confidently now but may also limit upside if you plan to sell soon. If you’re thinking about future resale, the current trend points to steadier value rather than rapid appreciation. A well-kept example should still appeal to shoppers who want a compact luxury crossover with strong everyday usability.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.1/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Lexus NX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 38.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.51% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.1/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2016 is a sensible choice if you want the NX’s distinctive styling, comfort, and strong owner satisfaction at a price that has already eased. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years as well, but the 2016 remains a good target when you find a clean example with a competitive asking price.
