The review summary points to a vehicle that many owners find dependable and trouble-free in day-to-day use, especially for family duties and long-term ownership. Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Honda Odyssey?

The market looks moderately favourable if you’re a selective buyer who is willing to compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 25.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 147 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.88% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $15,047 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Honda Odyssey's resale value?

The current average of $15,342 CAD sits slightly below last year's $18,025 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has become more buyer-friendly, which can make it harder for a future seller to command top dollar unless the vehicle is especially well kept. If you buy at the right price now, you may have less downside risk than someone who purchased when values were higher. Strong demand for practical family minivans can still support resale, especially when the vehicle has a good ownership reputation and a clean history.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.91/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Honda Odyssey or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 25.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.88% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.91/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2016 Honda Odyssey makes sense if you want a practical, well-liked family minivan and you can find one priced near the lower end of the market. If you’re more price-sensitive, it’s worth comparing nearby model years to see whether a similar Odyssey offers a better entry price, but the 2016 remains a strong primary choice for shoppers who value owner satisfaction and everyday usefulness.
