The car is a great fit. While it’s missing some of the bells and whistles with the other trims, I like the size and it feels spacious compared to its counterparts.

Excellent build quality, most standard features and above average reliability. Handles well and pleasantly surprised acceleration in such a tiny car. And surprisingly spacious interior for the market of a sub compact car. Highly recommended! I’m in love with my little Fit! ❤️

It’s a great car. This is the fifth one we have had in our family. You can “fit” a ton of stuff in it. The competitor’s (Nissan Versa and Toyota Yaris) versions are golf carts compared to the Fit.

How much does the 2016 Honda Fit cost?
| Metric | Value |
|---|---|
| Current Average Price | $14,693 CAD |
| Year-Round Low | $13,141 CAD |
| Year-Round High | $15,478 CAD |
| Average Price a Year Ago | $15,052 CAD |
| Change vs. Last Year | −2.38% |
Prices have softened 2.38% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.
There are 81 listings available, which gives you a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.
Is the 2016 Honda Fit a good car?
Yes — the 2016 Honda Fit earns a 4.6/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its excellent build quality, spacious interior, and fun driving experience, and many also describe it as a great value for money. With 32.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have some room to shop carefully.
Is the 2016 Honda Fit reliable?
Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
The owner feedback also highlights reliability, with many drivers saying they appreciate how dependable and trouble-free it feels over time. That kind of long-term confidence matters if you want a used car you can count on for everyday driving.
For used buyers, the main ownership risk is making sure the specific example you choose has been maintained properly, since even well-liked cars can become costly if prior care was inconsistent.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Honda Fit?
This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage but should still move quickly on the best examples.
- Deal availability: 32.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 81 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 2.38% compared with last year.
If you find a listing below $13,141 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2016 Honda Fit's resale value?
The current average of $14,693 CAD sits slightly below last year's $15,052 CAD.
That softer pricing suggests buyers have a bit more negotiating room today, but it can also mean future sellers may need to price competitively to stand out. If the market stays near this level, resale values should remain stable rather than sharply rising. Strong owner satisfaction can help support demand when you eventually sell.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Should I buy a 2016 Honda Fit or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2016 if:
- 32.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 2.38% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
The bottom line: The 2016 Honda Fit is a sensible choice if you want a well-liked used hatchback with strong owner feedback and a market that still offers some deal opportunities. If you’re price-sensitive, you may also want to compare nearby model years to see whether a lower-priced alternative gives you similar value.
