The exterior is very smooth and looks great, and the interior is surprisingly roomy and quite comfortable for a coupe. The dashboard controls are easy to figure out. Gas mileage is so good, definitely a hallmark of a Honda Civic, but getting great mpg on a car that looks this good? Honestly the best car Ive owned.

I traded in my 16 Civic Coupe for a Grand Cherokee... I miss my civic everyday. Trading it in was the biggest mistake Ive made car wise. I hate they no longer make the coupe, but I would buy a Civic with 200k+ miles without hesitation.

Is the 2016 Honda Civic Coupe a good car?

Is the 2016 Honda Civic Coupe reliable?

For used buyers, that kind of owner feedback can reduce the risk of unpleasant surprises, though you should still verify maintenance history and inspect any individual car carefully.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Honda Civic Coupe?
This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently without expecting every listing to be a bargain.
- Deal availability: 16.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 71 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
If you find a listing below $14,751 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2016 Honda Civic Coupe's resale value?
The current average of $15,631 CAD sits slightly below last year's $15,767 CAD.
That small decline suggests the market has been fairly stable, which is helpful if you’re planning to resell in the future. A steady price pattern can make it easier to estimate what your car may be worth later on. Because demand appears consistent, you’re less likely to see sharp swings in value over a short ownership period.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Should I buy a 2016 Honda Civic Coupe or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2016 if:
- 16.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
The bottom line:
If you want a used Civic Coupe with stable pricing and strong owner approval, the 2016 is a sensible place to start. If your priority is stretching your budget further, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on the listings that land closest to the lower end of the price range.
