Is the 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan a good car?

Yes — the 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan earns a 4.6/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction.

Owners consistently praise its spaciousness, comfort, and practicality, especially for families. The Stow ’n Go seating comes up often as a standout feature because it makes the cabin easy to adapt for passengers or cargo. That fits the Grand Caravan’s role as a deeply practical minivan with easy access and family-friendly versatility.

With 28.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a meaningful number of value-oriented options to compare.

Is the 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback highlights reliability alongside spaciousness and comfort, and it also points to the Grand Caravan as a vehicle many families can count on for everyday use. At the same time, some drivers mention concerns about specific design flaws and past powertrain issues, so you should pay close attention to maintenance history and how the van has aged.

For used buyers, that means long-term ownership risk is manageable if the vehicle has been cared for properly, but you should still inspect it carefully before committing.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory to shop around but still enough price variation to reward patience.

• Deal availability: 28.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 554 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.54% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $10,856 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan's resale value?

The current average of $10,856 CAD sits slightly below last year's $12,556 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Grand Caravan has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future sellers if they buy at the right price. Because the market is currently softer than it was a year ago, your resale outcome will depend heavily on how well the van is maintained and how competitively you price it later. A well-kept example should still appeal to buyers who want practical family transportation without paying new-vehicle money.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 28.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.54% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2016 is a sensible choice if you want a value-focused minivan with strong practicality and you can find one priced near the lower end of the market. If you are especially price-sensitive, nearby model years may also be worth comparing, but the 2016 stands out as a balanced option when you want a mix of affordability, owner approval, and useful family packaging.
